AmCham Shanghai's Entrepreneurship Committee is proud to host a special fireside chat featuring Miguel McKelvey, Co-Founder and Chief Culture Officer of WeWork on Tuesday, March 6th, at the AmCham Shanghai Conference Center. Miguel and panelists will discuss Designing Culture: Driving China's Future.

Transforming from humble beginnings and a single location, WeWork is fast making its mark in today's world. It is helping to shape the future of how we work and live, making it more human and bringing people together.

WeWork debuted in Greater China and Asia in 2016; the company's swift expansion led quickly to its first location in Hong Kong, on September 1, 2016, followed by continued growth across the country. WeWork is also on a mission towards supporting the nation's "created in China" transformational journey from factory to laboratory.

What are the key success factors of WeWork? One of their most important philosophies is designing culture--amplifying a workspace beyond beautiful spaces, it is a movement about life, not just work. They are operationalizing culture as their foundation in rolling out continued growth. During our fireside chat, Miguel will join his colleagues and offer their expertise on creating culture for businesses from the earliest stage start-ups to the largest global enterprises and help empower them with the right tools to shape their own cultures.

During the event, the speakers will also share their vision on shaping the future of work by introducing different cultural dimensions to help make the workplace a better place to make a life, and not just a living. With culture weaving a common thread across design, experiences and missions, it will completely rewrite traditional norms of workspace culture.
