AmCham Shanghai's Trade & Investment Center cordially invites you to join us for an event on July 3rd from 2:00-4:00 pm at the AmCham Shanghai Conference Center. Representatives from the China Shandong Zhaoyuan Economic and Technological Development Zone will share their insights, demonstrate potential investment opportunities and elaborate on the existing preferential policies for companies in the region. In addition, guest speakers from the Zhaoyuan Development Zone will also share their success stories.



The Zhaoyuan Economic and Technological Development Zone was established in 1992. In 2011, it was approved by the State Council as a state-level economic and technological development zone. The region encompasses Xin Zhuang town (including Binhai Science and Technology Industrial Park). At present, there are more than 1,800 enterprises registered in the development zone, among which 25 are from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan-based enterprises and there are also 57 foreign-invested enterprises. The Industrial Park has successively won honorary titles as a "Top 100 Circum-Bohai-Sea Provincial Development Zone", "Advanced Provincial Park for opening up", "Provincial Scientific Development Demonstration Park", "Most Habitable New Urban Area" among others.



Key industries and enterprises

The development zone has cultivated five essential traditional industries such as the gold, electronic information materials, machinery and equipment manufacturing, tires and auto parts, and leather industries. It also established a development pattern driven by emerging industries such as biological medicine and new materials.



Three Core Industrial Parks and Three Functional Area

In order to accelerate kinetic energy conversion and realize high quality regional development, new material industrial park, biological medicine industrial park and three demonstration parks are actively constructed in Zhaoyuan Zone. The area aims to cultivate and strengthen economy with local features and competitive industrial clusters.
