As China's education sector burgeons, we see myriad expressions of 'education with Chinese characteristics' (中国特色教育主义). One media group, the Shanghai-based Sixth Tone, have proven themselves leaders in reporting on the multi-faceted education environment in China, and two of their seasoned journalist will join us on this day to discuss what they've been reporting on and their perspectives.

Rural educational resources, gaokao reform, the fast-growing wangban system of distance learning, 'smart' school uniforms and in-class cameras – our Sixth Tone guests will speak about these and other highly relevant topics, as well as offer some perspective on how Sixth Tone, who offer 'fresh voices from today's China' achieve what they do.
